This image compares the sizes of smaller galaxies: some of them are dwarf galaxies. The Large Magellanic Cloud is a galaxy on the edge of being a dwarf galaxy, with its 30 billion stars it's sometimes classified as a dwarf galaxy, sometimes a full-fledged galaxy. We have two other charts comparing the sizes of large galaxies or giant galaxies.
