Cobalt is an very rare metal with atomic number 27. The occurrence of Cobalt in Earths crust is just 0,0029 %. It has several industrial uses, mainly in lithium ion batteries, catalysts (e.g. in the Fischer–Tropsch process for the hydrogenation of carbon monoxide into liquid fuels), electrotechnology and as superalloys (the temperature stability of Cobalt based superalloys makes them suitable for many applications such as turbine blades for gas turbines or jet aircraft engines). Cobalt has a melting point of 1768 K. The cobalt bar is laser engraved with some chemical data about cobalt. Shipping costs are 6.99 Euro within Germany, 16.49 Euro with the EU and Switzerland, and 24.99 Euro worldwide. For multiple purchases we combine shipping.
