A polished slice of NWA 869 meteorite. With awesome polishing quality, the slice has been flat lapped to 14000 grit and has a mirror-like surface. With a finish that fine, the inner structures of the meteorite can be seen in great detail and preservation against oxidation is high. All meteorite slices include mirror-like iron inclusions (that are difficult to display photographically) and chondrules, the first material condensed out of the solar fog. A white scale square for the microscopic photo is 1 mm x 1mm. The specimen comes with a clear acrylic stand, as per photo, and a certificate of authenticity. After your purchase this specimen will continue to be displayed in the Meteorite Gallery of our museum unless you do not want us to display your meteorite online.
