Niobium is a very rare metal with a metallic grey sheen. It only occurs in association with the even rarer tantalum. It forms a passive layer (protective layer) when exposed to air and is therefore very resistant. Niobium is used as a steel refiner and makes steels considerably tougher and harder. It is also used as a catalyst, for the production of superalloys, in aluminium alloys, in nuclear technology and many other applications. Niobium's properties, such as its high melting point, corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures, make it a valuable material in various applications across industries. The bar is laser engraved with some chemical data about Niobium and looks highly decorative. Shipping costs are 6.99 Euro within Germany, 16.49 Euro with the EU and Switzerland, and 24.99 Euro worldwide. For multiple purchases we combine shipping. Please allow 1 to 2 business days for shipment since we have to retrieve the items from our warehouse first.
