Giant Magellan Telescope

This is another one that beats the current optical telescopes by far. It should be ready for operation in 2029 and will have an effective diameter of 25.448 metres. This is the last of the giant telescopes that are currently under construction. Other plans exist; the most extreme is the Overwhelmingly Large Telescope.
